SUNDAY – SEPT 18TH AND THE SUN is out and shining on the flotsam and jetsum from the storm – does anyone know how to spell “jetsum”? I am off to keep cleaning up. I love it there. L. L.

Chap Haegele saved the cats from the top of the barn when we thought it might end up down the Hudson. He also was the only one to figure out that the gas tank, bobbing from its cable attached to the building, could have blown up. The grand fire department came back and disconnected it, to make sure all was safe. A week later, the amazing Chap reconnected it as if he were threading a needle. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL. SO MANY PEOPLE LOST SO MUCH MORE. THERE ARE MANY GROUPS RAISING $ FOR THE FARMERS. I WILL FIND OUT SOME NAMES AND POST THEM HERE. L. L.
